But Sölden and its ski resort are not the only attraction here. Little brother of Sölden ski resort: Vent ski resort

You have tried Sölden ski resort and are now looking for a smaller and quieter ski area? Then Vent ski resort is the place for you. Here you do not have the waiting times at the lifts, which you might encounter at Sölden ski resort. From December 2018, the small but charming ski area will boast a new highlight: the 6-seater “Wildes Mannle” chairlift, which will take up to the top in just a few minutes. The Vent ski area offers 15 km of perfectly groomed slopes at a height of 1,900 to 2,680 metres. The slopes on intermediate level are well suited for beginners and families. But also experts and pros get their money’s worth during a day on the slopes of Vent. Just like in Sölden ski resort, you can improve your skiing technique here with the help of one of the ski instructors of Vent ski school. And before you know it, you are nearly as good as the certified ski instructors themselves!

In the Alpine ski resort in Vent you can ski directly to the front door of our hotel nearby Sölden ski resort. This way you do not need to pack and unpack your gear or take a car- or bus ride to get to the ski resort. Even lunch at our hotel or a few quiet hours on our terrace are easily possible – thanks to the location of our hotel, directly on the slopes!

Legendary winter hotspot: Sölden ski resort

Sölden ski resort is one of the most renowned and popular winter sports destinations in the Alps, site of the legendary Ski World Cup and very close to our Natur- & Alpinhotel Post. From here you reach Sölden ski resort in about 20 minutes by car. The highest point of Sölden ski resort is the glacier at 3,340 metres. Sölden ski resort offers 33 modern lifts and a total of 146 km of slopes; the longest downhill slope has a proud length of 15 km, for some representing the absolute highlight of their ski holidays in the Alps. 

Obergurgl/Hochgurgl ski resort

If you love skiing, make sure to spend one day on the slopes of Obergurgl/Hochgurgl. This ski area is only 20 minutes’ drive from your holiday home. Here you find 110 km of slopes for snowboarding, carving, freeriding and skiing. The ski resort Obergurgl/Hochgurgl is the first one of all the non-glacial ski resorts in the Ötztal valley to kick off the winter season. The skiing season here is particularly long, lasting from mid-November until beginning of May. The resort impresses with more than one valley station directly in the village and as many as 24 lifts, which greatly reduces the waiting times.
