Winter hiking
Countless kilometres of groomed and signed winter hiking trails weave their way gently through the snow-blanketed mountains around Vent. Immerse yourself in the tranquillity of nature. Tobogganing
A natural toboggan run that ticks all the boxes: high-speed, thrilling, and perfectly prepared. You can combine a descent on the five-kilometre-long Stablein toboggan run in Vent with a panoramic hike up to Stableinalm hut at 2,354 metres above sea level (which takes around 1.5 hours) and a refreshment stop. If you’d prefer a little more comfort, take the Wildspitze double chair lift up to the Stablein mountain station. Once you reach the top, simply rent a toboggan and you’ll be ready to whizz back down the mountain to Vent.
Cross-country skiing
There are over 143 kilometres of perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails in Ötztal, two of which are found directly in Vent: The easy practice trail at the entrance to the village and the moderately difficult, sunny Ebenle trail let cross-country skiing fans snap on their skis right outside our hotel and glide away. The trails are free to use throughout the valley, and a cross-country skiing bus brings you directly to the Ötztal cross-country skiing centre free of charge.
Ice-skating and curling
At the ice rink at Vent sports ground, you have the opportunity to glide gracefully over the ice every day in winter. You can rent ice skates from two shops in the village, and you can also enjoy curling in the evening.
