On skis to the top of the mountains

Vent is one of the most beautiful places for backcountry skiing. That is why many ski-touring fans choose to spend their winter holidays in the Austrian Alps, in Vent in Tyrol. If you already have some experience, you can head off without further ado and embark on your individual ski-touring adventures in Austria. Alternatively, we are happy to organise a mountain- or ski guide, who accompanies you on your tours. The packages at our hotel in the Ötztal valley often also include guided tours into the Austrian Alps, surroundings our hotel. We highly recommend a ski tour to our private Similaun mountain hut at 3,019 metres; the hut is also open in winter, making for the ideal destination during your winter holidays in the Austrian Alps. The best time for your tours is generally March until May.

Winter holidays in the Austrian Alps: hit the slopes!

A day on the slopes is an essential part of winter holidays in the Austrian village Vent in Tyrol. In the surroundings of our hotel near Sölden you find a variety of slopes. If you are planning a winter holiday with your family, then we recommend you to visit the ski resort Vent. It is a small ski resort with 15 km of slopes, and thus perfect for families and hobby skiers, with one slope leading directly to the front door of our Natur- & Alpinhotel Post. Could you wish for anything more during your winter holidays in the Austrian Ötztal?!

Nearby our hotel you also find Sölden ski resort and Obergurgl/Hochgurgl, two ski resorts, which are easily reachable in about 20 minutes by car. If you wish, we can tell you all about the most beautiful downhill slopes and best restaurants on these resorts.
