Summer holidays in the Ötztal Alps are best spent at our hotel in Vent in Tyrol at 1,900 metres. The little mountaineering village Vent is hidden away in the hinterlands of the Ötztal valley. Thanks to our location at the valley end there is no through-going traffic. Vent is a dream come true for all mountaineers. Here you can start your hikes directly on the doorstep and set out to many fascinating mountain tours. Besides, the area offers eight mountain huts which welcome hikers, providing food and accommodation.

Here in the mountains you are surrounded by nothing but pristine nature, offering the ideal base for summer holidays in the Alps. Nature is also omnipresent at our Natur- & Alpinhotel Post. If you are spending your summer holidays in the Ötztal valley, in the Natur- & Alpinhotel Post, you are in good hands. We are happy to tell you all about the various tours in Vent and surroundings. If you wish, we also accompany you on your hikes in the Ötztal valley or organise a mountain guide for you. Also a few members of our family are certified hiking guides, for instance host Gerhard, who would love to show you the mountains surrounding our hotel. There is probably nothing better than sharing this passion for the mountains with other like-minded folks. So come along and visit us and let us show you the mountains and all of its many treasures!

Our mountain hut in the Ötztal valley

Did you know that members of our family run a renowned mountain huts? Markus and Thomas Pirpamer come from a long line of mountain-hut keepers in the Ötztal valley; today, they welcome mountaineers together with their diligent spouses at the Similiaun hut. If you visit the Similaun mountain hut during your summer holidays in the Ötztal Alps, Markus and his wife Ulli will take good care of you.
