Ready for adventure? There are several interesting sights to explore around our accommodation in the Alps: ancient history and the rugged natural beauty of Ötztal. Follow the trails of Ötzi, the Iceman. From the place of his discovery to the Ötzi village in Umhausen or to the archaeological finds nearby. Numerous snowshoe hikes offer nature and adventure routes as well as playgrounds for the little ones. 2km above Vent, there are traces of prehistoric man at the Rofenhöfe farmhouses, the highest inhabited mountain farms in Austria where thousands of artefacts have been found. The more adventurous can cross the Rofnerschlucht over a 46m suspension bridge to get there. A 30-minute hike from our hotel in Tyrol takes you to the Hohle Stein, used as a shelter by Stone Age hunters and shepherds. Whatever you do, you certainly discover your history and the soothing effects of a timeless nature.
