Up on high
Hike the heavenly mountains around Vent
Our village Vent awaits you with ideal mountain weather and fantastic hiking routes. Get ready for summit experiences in the Ötztal Alps!
At just under 1,900 metres, the mountaineering village of Vent is the ideal starting point for hiking holidays in the Alps. Experienced alpinists can set off from our hotel to the Wildspitze that towers in the northwest. At 3,768 metres, you’ll certainly enjoy the fascinating panoramic view of Austria’s second highest mountain peak. If you want to appreciate a different, yet magnificent view of Wildspitze, why not venture on a summit tour to the front of the south-eastern peak of the mountain. You can reach Wilde Mannle (3,023 metres) after a leisurely lift ride and an ascent of only 660 metres in altitude on foot, which is as demanding as it is exhilarating. Absolute surefootedness and mountain experience are indispensable to reach the summit. A less demanding tour is from our alpine hotel in Vent via Martin Busch Hut at 2,501 metres then on to Similaun hut at 3,017 metres, which is already on South Tyrolean soil. From here, it’s worth making a detour to the site where the glacier mummy, Ötzi, was found on Tisensjoch before restoring your energy for new mountain adventures at our cosy holiday home.
