Sölden: magical, impressive, challenging
(P)leisure mountain
When was the last time you went up the mountains? With so much to offer in winter it’s no wonder that visitors get their money’s worth.
Have you been to a hotel in Sölden lately? Remember surreal white landscapes, mystical silence, and the crisp air waking your senses? Mountains are magical, impressive, challenging: man has been fascinated by them since ancient times. Some visitors today may come to follow in Ötzi’s footsteps, while others come for the snow fun and the atmosphere. One thing is sure: it was originally the challenges and pleasure that drew people to enjoy mountaineering and tourism, urging major development of the area. After the first chairlift was built, it became possible for more and more people to discover the mountains and Sölden gradually emerged as a ski resort. It is famous for the first Alpine Club World Cup, which it opens every year, hi-tech gondolas, and a vast network of trails. No wonder people flock to the mountains to find pleasure, leisure, or somewhere to rest their weary minds. What about you?
