Holidays in the Austrian Alps – a dream come true for mountaineers

Hochjoch Hospiz – the first mountain hut in the Ötztal Valley

During your holidays in the Austrian Alps at our hotel in Vent we recommend you to visit the Hochjoch Hospiz.

Holidays in the Austrian Alps are a great opportunity to climb many a mountain. In summer and in winter you find a great variety of touring possibilities, partly starting right in front of our hotel in Tyrol. If you are spending your holidays in the Austrian Alps in the mountaineering village Vent, we recommend you to visit the oldest mountain hut in the Ötztal Valley: The Hochjoch Hospiz is located at 2,413 metres of altitude and open for ski touring fans in summer from June to October and in winter from March to May. This means that you can take a trip to Hochjoch Hospiz during your summer- as well as your winter holidays in the Austrian Alps.

The mountain hut is owned by the German Alpine Association and is currently run by our family member, Thomas Pirpamer and his wife Denise. Thomas is a state-certified mountain- and ski guide and has helpful tips and advice in store for you when on holidays in the Austrian Alps. Make sure to ask him about the recommended hikes nearby the Hochjoch Hospiz for your individual tours during holidays in the Austrian Alps.
