Today’s hiking tip
The small Vent loop trail
The pleasant circular route will lead you along idyllic paths and gives you a fantastic view of the village of Vent.
When you hear “Vent loop trail”, many of you will instantly think about the renowned, 6-day ski tour that leads you over the passes and peaks of the surrounding three-thousand-metre mountains. But today, we’re going to present a mini version of this legendary tour to you. You can leave your ski-touring equipment at our hotel, because for this tour you’ll only need robust hiking boots and warm clothing.
You’ll soon understand that for a holiday in Austria, winter isn’t the only option. Spring also offers challenging hikes as well as perfectly groomed family-friendly trails with less incline. On the hiking trail around Vent you’ll overcome about 90 metres in altitude over a distance of approximately three kilometres.
Follow the Vent road southwards, cross the Venter Ache river, and take the path to the Gampen lift. At the lift, take the left-hand path and walk along the edge of the forest for about a kilometre until you reach the bridge over the Venter Ache river. From here, you can admire a wonderful view of Vent. Follow the path back to the starting point.
