The hiking hotel in Ötztal for climbers
A mountain tour on the Saykogel mountain
Our hiking hotel in the Ötztal Valley is the ideal starting point for a wide variety of mountain tours. A highlight for many mountain lovers is an ascent to the Saykogel mountain.
You don’t necessarily have to be a professional alpinist to celebrate summit victories during your holiday at our hiking hotel in the Ötztal Valley. That’s because there are also several worthwhile mountain tours with medium-difficultly, such as the Alpine tour to Saykogel. Good physical condition, no fear of heights, and surefootedness are, however, a prerequisite. The ascent starts directly at our hotel in Vent, after an energising breakfast in the hiking hotel in the Ötztal Valley. The trail leads from Vent up to the Weiler Rofen and the material cable car of the Vernagt hut. Then it leads you through the impressive Rofner Gorge – steeply uphill to Hochjoch Hospice. There, you descend to the iron bridge over the Hintereisbach brook. Continue to the turn-off to the Martin Busch hut and finally a steep uphill hike to the summit. The two small climbing passages between are not secured with a rope. The view of the Weißkugel mountain and the Fineilspitze mountain is sensational. The descent back to our hiking hotel in the Ötztal Valley is via the Martin Busch hut.
